What a cookie is

Your choice

The first time you visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use Google Analytics. Until you choose Allow, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is measured. If you choose No thanks, none are set at all.

You can change your mind whenever you like using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Turning analytics off is exactly as easy as turning it on, and we remember your choice for six months before asking again.

These are needed for the site to work. They are not used to track you and they cannot be turned off.

Analytics, only if you agree

These are set by Google Analytics, and only after you choose Allow. They help us understand which pages people visit and how they found us. They do not tell us who you are, and we do not use them to advertise to you.

Advertising

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not share your visit with anyone for advertising purposes.

Turning cookies off in your browser

As well as the Cookie settings link on this site, every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its own settings. Be aware that blocking all cookies may stop parts of this or other websites working properly.
